Download the zip and load it as an unpacked extension in Chrome Developer mode.

Download helper (.zip)
  1. Download and unzip the helper.
  2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top right).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped chrome-extension folder (the one that contains manifest.json).
  5. Return to Rust Merchant, refresh the page, click Link Steam account.

The helper only runs on Facepunch Rust+ login pages (companion-rust.facepunch.com). It does not see your Steam password and does not access other websites. You can remove it anytime under Chrome → Extensions.
